Welcome to the Cool Crone: Morning Rituals and Spiritual Business

So today we are talking about mornings and your morning ritual and what is important for you in the morning and how you get up in the morning. I don't mean physically. I mean, what is it that you are creating to set yourself up for your day?

Your Morning Sets the Tone for Your Entire Day

Now, if you've come from a culture or a way of being where getting up in the morning means getting up really early, rushing, getting on a train or a bus or a tube or in your car to get somewhere and then be there all day and then come back, that's fine.

If that's how your life was or is right now, there's always a way to reorientate because what I believe is that how we wake up in the morning sets ourselves up for the whole day.

Regardless of what time it is that we're getting up in the morning, whether it's 6:00 or if you like to wake up naturally at 9:00 or 10:00, there is no judgement here. The piece is about what you are doing in the morning to set yourself up for the day.

Do you literally wake up, eyes open, reach for the phone? Or do you wake up intentionally with a practice within so that you know that once you've opened your eyes, you have already done this work?

Because the atmosphere of light that you create for yourself before you even rise is going to inform the rest of the day.

From Rush to Ritual: Creating a Grounded Start

Waking up in a rush, hurried, without doing any emotional, mental, physical, or spiritual preparation means the day may feel like it's slipping away and that you don't have any sense of grounding.

When you start to create your morning rituals in a way that supports your whole day, you're going to see your whole day changing in ways that are really powerful and really positive.

Now, I know there are teachers who say get up at 5:00 in the morning, the 5:00 a.m. club and all of that. I'm not here to say you have to get up at a certain time.

For me, time has sacred qualities. There are devotional times. There are light-filled times. Three to four in the morning is an incredibly powerful energetic window. And yet our lives don't always work like that.

The power piece here is how you're setting yourself up so that you can give yourself the grace and the space to create a foundational garden that is already blooming before you open your eyes.

Creating Sacred Morning Space

This takes practice. It takes intention.

I made the decision years ago that my mornings were always going to include sacred space and time for myself. When my daughter was younger, I would intentionally get up an hour or an hour and a half before she woke so I could prepare myself for the day.

If I don't do that work for a day or two, I feel it. Something is off. When I rush out of bed and go straight into the day without that foundation, I notice the difference.

And I'm going to share what I do to give you some ideas.

Breaking Old Patterns and Choosing a New Way

It's not always easy, especially when we're menopausing or when there is an internal pressure to do things the way we've always done them.

That pressure might feel external, but we're the ones reinforcing it if we keep repeating the same patterns.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. When you change the way you are and give love to yourself, that love expands.

So my first question for you is: are you intentionally waking up with a routine, with a loving practice, with rituals that set you up for the day?

If yes, beautiful. If not, would you be open to it?

Setting the Energy for the Day Ahead

Would you be open to waking in a way that feels soft, loving, peaceful, and intentional? A way that sets the energetic tone and standards for your day?

This is about becoming the frequency of the day you want to experience. If you want a peaceful day, you begin with peace in your heart.

In fact, this starts the night before. Going to bed with intention, seeding peace before sleep, and allowing your morning and evening to work together is incredibly powerful.

My Morning Practice: Stillness, Breath, and Intention

For me, when I wake up, I don't open my eyes straight away. I stay in stillness. I do my inner work. I say my treatments. I visualise. I do the 12 breath process.

All of this happens before I even open my eyes.

I wear an eye mask because darkness activates the pineal gland, and that supports the expansion of inner light.

My first thought is gratitude. Thank you. I'm here.

Then I breathe. I set my intention for the day. I allow the light to come in.

Then I sit up, stretch, and reach for my journal or a book. I want to seed my mind and heart with something nourishing before I look at my phone.

The phone doesn't come into my world for at least an hour.

Creating Space Before Entering the World

I get up slowly. I make the bed. I make a cup of tea. I allow myself to arrive into the day in my own way.

Even if I had to leave early, I would still get up earlier to create this space.

This becomes an anchor point. It allows the divine to come in before the day begins.

And this is where inspiration flows. Ideas. Insights. Downloads.

These are business ideas. Creative ideas. Healing ideas. This is where the next steps reveal themselves.

Your Morning as a Portal for Ideas and Flow

If you're not giving yourself this time, you are keeping yourself from the light, from the ideas, from the financial flow that wants to come through.

Because many of these ideas are directly linked to your work, your service, and your income.

Your morning is a portal. It opens the day. It opens possibility.

Invitation: Reimagine Your Morning Routine

So I'm inviting you to take a look at your morning routine.

Where is your phone? Could you keep it in another room? Could you delay checking it?

Could you give yourself even 20 minutes of intentional space before entering the world of doing?

Try it for a week. Notice what changes.

Community and Closing

Morning routines have a cumulative effect. They shape your life.

So share. Let us know what your morning routine is. Let us know what works for you. We're creating community here.
